Jordan- Master plan for disabled homes


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept 19 (Petra) –– A committee tasked with drawing up a national master plan to find solutions to care homes for disabled people in the Kingdom met Tuesday in the Ministry of Social Development with the participation of specialists from the ministry and partner entities.

The ministry, in coordination with the Higher Council for Persons with Disabilities, is working to lay out the master plan, which envisages solutions to the disabled homes, mainly turning non-governmental accommodation entities into integrated day-time service bodies.

The plan's implementation is set to start within a period not exceeding one year from the validation date of the law, and shall be completed within ten years at the latest, under the new law on the disabled, which became valid since the start of this month.
