UN thank Kuwait for humanitarian contribution to Syrians
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) NEW YORK, Sept 18 (KUNA) -- UN Secretary General's Special Representative to Syria Staffan de Mistura on Monday thanked Kuwait for its humanitarian contributions to alleviate suffering of the Syrian people.
De Mistura made the remarks during a meeting with Kuwait's First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, during which the two officials discussed the Syrian conflict and international efforts to solve it.
The meeting, held on sidelines of the UN General Assembly meetings, was attended by Assistant Foreign Minister for the Foreign Minister's Office Ambassador Sheikh Dr. Ahmad Nasser Mohammad Al-Sabah, Kuwait's permanent representative to the UN Mansour Al-Otaibi and Assistant Foreign Minister for International Organizations Nasser Al-Hayyen.
