Bahrain to construct 100MW solar power plant

(MENAFN) Bahrain will develop a solar power plant with a nominal capacity of 100MW in co-op with the private sector, citing the kingdom's elect and water affairs minister.

In addition, the tendering process will start in Feb and the project will be ready for operations by the end of the coming year.

Last year, the government had showed the National Energy Efficiency Plan and the National Renewable Energy Plan to offer 5 percent of the nation's elect consumption.

This goal, which will be fulfilled in 2025, will drive a huge range of energy and power initiatives through the kingdom.
