Saudi aims to pump tenders for rail project by 2018
(MENAFN) Saudi Arabia is aiming to issue tenders for its Land Bridge rail project joining the Red Sea port of Jeddah with the Arabian Gulf and the capital Riyadh by the coming year.
Accordingly, the company experienced supporting response to an invitation for expressions of interest for the 1.600km line from the private sector.
Additionally, the project involved 958km of track between Jeddah and Riyadh, the update of a 450km line between Riyadh and Dammam and a second 150km line between Dammam and Jubail.
Meanwhile, KSA has collected USD14bn to infrastructure and transport projects in the current year from USD10.1bn in 2016 through renewed progress on key rail projects.
