Death of eight people following a disastrous storm in Romania

(MENAFN) Eight people killed and 67 other injured after a powerful storm hit western Romania, where winds destroyed trees and plants.

The storm happened around the city of Timisoara, causing cut in water and electricity supplies.

"We weren't warned about this. The weather report only called for rain," Timisoara's mayor Nicolae Robu said.

Therefore, the concerned authorities called people to stay inside and to avoid staying near trees or power lines as the storm is moving towards Ukraine.
