Jordan- Some 30k Students Accepted into Public Universities

AMMAN —AlGhad— According to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr Adel Toweisi, Jordanian public universities have accepted no more than 29,713 students via the Uniform Admission's programme.

Earlier, the Minsitry set the acceptance cap for public universities via the uniform admissions programme at a total maximum of 35,777 acceptances for the upcoming semester.

The Minister also highlighted that the percentage of applicants accepted into the Makrama, exceptions, and quota programmes, collectively, stands at 9.3 per cent of accepted total.

Additionally, just over 700 college students have been accepted via the higher education bridging programme, to be announced Monday morning.
