Jordan- Authorities Foil 3 Drug Smuggling Attempts

AMMAN —AlGhad— Authorities have foiled three inbound and outbound drug smuggling attempts in Zarqa, Aqaba, and one of the border crossings, south of Jordan, according to the statements of the Public Security Directorate (PSD)'s media office.

Some 27 thousand narcotic pills and 650 grams of cocaine were confiscated in all three interceptions.

These interceptions have led to the arrest of six people in total, including the three primary suspects involved in the three cases, some of them Arab foreigners.

At least one involved suspect is still at large, as his identity has been uncovered, and the authorities are in still pursuit.
