Qatar to acquire 24 Typhoon jets from UK
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Qatar and Britain yesterday signed a Letter of Intent to purchase 24 modern Typhoon aircraft with all their equipment.
The deal was signed by HE the Minister of State of Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah and Britain's Defence Secretary Michael Fallon at the Ministry's headquarters.
It also aims to strengthen co-operation and mutual support between the two countries in the military and technical fields.
The two ministers discussed aspects of co-operation in the military field, especially in combating terrorism and extremism. The meeting also discussed the most important regional issues.
