Kuwait- Ban on recruitment of female Indian domestic workers lifted


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Sept 17: The Public Relations and Security Media Department at the Ministry of Interior as saying that the Residency Affairs General Department has worked on lifting the ban on the recruitment of female domestic workers from the Republic of India.

The department pointed out that there has been an agreement on the cessation of reasons for canceling the bank guarantee for domestic workers followed by the Embassy of the Republic of India to guarantee the financial rights of these workers in accordance with Domestic Workers Law number 68/2015 and its executive regulations. The department went on to confirm that citizens can now hire female domestic workers from India as it was done in the past.
