Qatar- Katara to showcase the Sudanese folklore in October

Doha, Qatar: Katara will host a Sudanese Cultural Forum between October 17 and 20. The forum is scheduled to entail a wide array of events like cultural exhibitions highlighting the Sudanese folklore, photography, tourism, and archeology. An economic exhibition will also be scheduled and will feature 20 Sudanese companies showcasing their products.

The forum will also include a series of cultural seminars, poetry evenings and musical nights, which will be held with the participation of Sudanese writers, poets, and artists.

The General Manager of the Cultural Village Foundation- Katara, Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al-Sulaiti met the Cultural Counselor of the embassy of Sudan, Abdel llah Abusen, today.

The officials discussed ways to enhance cultural cooperation between Katara and Sudanese Embassy in Doha. The Sudanese official presented a proposal to host a number of cultural events that will shed the light on

Sudanese culture and will introduce pure Sudanese cultural identity to the audience.

During the meeting, Dr Khalid praised the bilateral relations between the two institutes and welcomed the proposal, highlighting Katara's role in building communication bridges between people from all walks of life and ensuring a beneficial artistic platform filled with appropriate facilities that aid in hosting successful events for all, Arab and foreign countries.

The counselor announced that Katara will host the Sudanese Cultural Forum in October.
