Hyundai, Kia sales in China fall 40% in August


(MENAFN) Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Motors Corp's sales in China had fallen 39% on-year for the previous month, with diplomatic tensions between Seoul and Beijing over the deployment of US missile defense system.

Hyundai Motor and Kia Motors are selling a combined 76,010 vehicles in the largest automotive market in August, lower than the rate registered the same period last year.

Earlier, China expressed opposition against US anti-missile system as the deployment could hurt security interests.
