Kuwait- One hurt in Mirqab clinic fire

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 16: Fire broke out in the store of a dental clinic in Mirqab area opposite the Liberation Tower. One person inhaled smoke and suffered breathing difficulty in the fire that started in the third floor of the 12-floor building, resulting in a huge material loss.

A security source said the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry was notified about the incident and a team of firemen accompanied by security operatives and paramedics went to the scene.

The firemen evacuated the building while paramedics referred the affected person to a hospital for treatment. The source of fire wasn't immediately known but a case was registered for investigation. Meanwhile, fire engulfed an accommodation for female teachers located in Salmiya area.

A source said firemen were able to control the blaze that started at the kitchen of the 10-fl oor apartment building after evacuating the tenants. There was no casualty.
