Samsung's Note 7 fiasco is clearly a thing of the past, as the welcome that the Galaxy Note 8 is getting reflects no dark shadows of that disaster. According to the latest number from the Korean firm (via The Korea Herald), Galaxy Note 8 have hit 800,000 units in Korea in just a week. The number also proves that Samsung's reputation has remained intact amid all crisis that it has been going through recently.

South Korea's largest wireless operator, SK Telecom, said buyers in their 30s represented 40% of the Galaxy Note 8 preorders it received. Further, the telecom giant said that 48% of those who preordered the device were already Note users, and 57% of the orders it received were for the 256GB version, notes ZDNet.

The phone is also performing well in the U.S. In a press release last week, the company said that more 'people in the U.S. have the Galaxy Note 8 than previous Samsung Note phones during the same time period.' The company gave no more details.
