Europe's EIB to finance 2 Egypt metro lines with EUR255mn
(MENAFN) The European Investment Bank has proclaimed its readiness to finance the upgrades to the Cairo metro lines 1 and 2.
Furthermore, the EIB is capable to offer EUR180mn in funds for the first line and EUR75mn for the second.
Meanwhile, the EIB and Egypt's transport minister also discussed the third metro line, in which the EIB has contributed EUR600mn.
In addition, the rehabilitation of the first line tops the ministry's priorities, indicating that the process involves raising efficiency.
