Afghanistan- Work on Khan Char Bagh district building begins
District chief Durtaj Khaliqi said the district centre building would cost 26 million afghanis provided by the Urban Development Ministry. The two storey building would have 16 rooms and would take one year to complete.
She said except the police headquarters, no government department had proper building in the district and the public offices were operated from rented residences and guesthouses.
Public hirector Naeem Musamim said the newly-inaugurated clinic in Khan Char Bagha district was constructed with financial support from India.
Ismael Nazari, the development council head, accused government officials of ignoring the Khan Char Bagh district despite being relatively stable.
Nazari said construction work on the district building and the inauguration of a clinic were the first projects to be executed in the district home to 70,000 people.
