Kuwait- Drunk driver arrested


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Sept 14: A drunken Indian man lost control over his car when he encountered patrolmen on the way to Sabah Al-Salem area, reports Al-Rai daily. In attempt to escape, the Indian motorist hit and damaged the patrol car causing slight injuries to the officers who were inside the car. The two injured officers endured their injuries and managed to arrest the suspect. A security source said the suspect was in a disoriented state during arrest, and the officers discovered he was driving under the infl uence of alcohol. They took him first to the Abdullah Al-Salem Police Station and later referred him to the Criminal Evidences Department for further investigation.

Thief caught: An Arab expatriate was arrested for stealing from parked vehicles. The Public Relations and Media Security Department of Ministry of Interior explained that security authorities, after receiving several complaints about the theft of contents of parked vehicles by breaking the glass of the vehicles, formed a team for investigations. They managed to obtain the records of a surveillance camera that was near the site where the thefts occurred. They noticed a man breaking the glass of the vehicles and stealing items from them. After figuring out his identity and taking necessary legal measures, securitymen arrested him and checked his apartment to find some of the stolen items. They also discovered that seven cases were filed against him. During interrogations, they were informed that he had committed more than 25 thefts about which no reports were received. He was referred to the concerned authorities for further investigations
