Kuwaiti, Italian officials discuss preparations for economic forum

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) ROME, Sept 11 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador in Rome Sheikh Ali Khaled Al-Sabah held talks with President of the Italian-Arab Chamber of Commerce on preparations for an economic forum, grouping Italian and Arab officials and businessmen, including from Kuwait.

Sheikh Ali and Pietro Paolo Rampino, Italian Vice-President of the Chamber, discussed deepening of economic relations between Italy and Kuwait within the Chamber, Kuwait Embassy said in a statement.

Sheikh Ali reiterated keenness to promote mutual investment, as well as encouraging meetings between Italian and Kuwaiti businessmen, it said.

Sheikh Ali and Rampino discussed the preparations for the October 12 forum.

He said Kuwait's Minister of Commerce and Industry, Acting Minister of State for Youth Khaled Al-Roudhan would be addressing the forum.

Sheikh Ali said the Embassy of Kuwait was supporting the Italian-Arab Chamber of Commerce, which was launched last year, in a bid to provide facilities for Italian companies working in Arab countries. (end) mn.bs
