French frigate Jean Bart arrives in Qatar
Doha: The Ministry of Defense has announced the arrival of French frigate Jean Bart to Hamad Port to participate in a number of naval maneuvers and joint military exercises between the Qatar and France.
The French frigate was received by Brigadier General Khalifa Saleh Al Nuaimi, Director of the Military Training Directorate on behalf of the Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces and Brigadier General Ghanim Mubarak Al-Khayyaran, Commander of the Qatari Emiri Fleet.
The ministry said in a statement that the maneuvers between the Qatari Emiri Navy and its French counterpart will be held in the ports of Hamad Port, Doha Maritime Base and Qatari territorial waters.
The statement pointed out that these exercises and maneuvers come within the framework of joint military cooperation between Qatar and France to combat terrorism and extremism.
