Arab FMs welcome Kuwait's hosting int'l conf. to rebuild Iraqi areas


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) CAIRO, Sept 12 (KUNA) -- Arab Foreign Ministers welcomed Tuesday State of Kuwait's hosting of an international conference to rebuild areas in Iraqi that were liberated from terrorists.

His Highness the Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah called Iraqi prime minister Haidar Al-Abadi following the liberation of Mosul, and offered to host the international conference, which Kuwait said might be held during the first quarter next year.

The foreign ministers meanwhile called on importance of supporting Arab governments, namely Iraq's, to cope with growing needs of displaced persons.

They called for rebuilding the liberated areas in Iraq and to involve the private sector until the return of the displaced to their homes.

They proposed an Arab League-sponsored international conference to discuss the internally displaced persons (IDPs) inside the Arab countries.

They approved a plan to support the IDPs in Arab countries to improve their living conditions. (end) mfm.esm.bs
