FM affirms Jordan's keenness to implement Amman Summit resolutions


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Cairo, Sept. 12 (Petra)--Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs Ayman Safadi affirmed Jordan's keenness, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, to implement resolutions of the Amman Summit that aim at serving issues of the Arab nation and aspirations of Arab peoples.

Safadi made the remarks as he chaired the first meeting of the committee charged with following up the implementation of the Amman Summit resolutions that was held at the ministerial level in Cairo on Tuesday.

Committee members as well as the secretary general of the Arab League praised Jordan's keenness to follow up on the implementation of the Amman Summit resolutions and efforts exerted in this regard.

The meeting discussed the committee's semi-annual report, developments related to the Palestinian issue and the Syrian crisis, the situation in Libya and Yemen, Iran's interference in Arabs' affairs and its occupation of three UAE islands, combating terrorism among other issues.

The committee comprises Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Mauritania, Algeria, Djibouti as well as the Secretary General of the Arab League Ahmad Abul Ghait.
