Turkish government detains 79 school employees in coup probe

(MENAFN) On Wednesday, Turkish authorities issued warnings for 79 former school employees over alleged links to failed military coup of 2016.

As detained employees were suspected of using ByLock, which is an encrypted messaging app, the government was using it by the network of US-based cleric Fethullah Gulen.

However, since the coup attempt, the government had detained around 150,000 people suspended from jobs in the public and private sector including some who worked at schools founded by his supporters.
