(MENAFN- Daily News Egypt) Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA), Mohab Mamish, arrived on Tuesday morning to Munich amid his German tour accompanied by a high-level delegation from the General Authority For Suez Canal Economic Zone to promote the region. The delegation seeks to present the investment opportunities in the Suez Canal area, and complete negotiations which were initiated with German companies during Mamish's last visit to Germany in June.
On the first day of his visit to Germany, Mamish met the chairman of the Hamburg Port Authority, Jens Meier, to learn about the latest methods of port management and development. Hamburg port is considered as the second most important European port following the port of Rotterdam.
He also met with the Chief Operating Officer of Hamburg Hafen und Logistik (Hamburg for Ports and Logistics), Jens Hansen, to discuss the latest developments in the field worldwide. Mamish said that such bilateral meetings will benefit the East and West Port Said's ports in the next period. He also referred to his meeting with the director of Blohm-Voss Repair, which is one of the largest marine arsenals for the repair, maintenance and construction of ships in Germany, Where they discussed the technical training of shipbuilding workers.
