(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Lady Muscateers claimed the top honours in the uhlsport Friendship Women's Volleyball Tournament that was held at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex (SQSC) on Friday.
Organised by the Eagle Spikers Team, a member of the Filipino Community Social Club (Filcosoc), the event witnessed the participation of five teams. Muscat Smashers finished runner-up in the event that was played on a round-robin format. Lady Muscateers remained unbeaten in all the four matches it played to emerge winner.

Kristhine Lavenza of Lady Muscateers was adjudged the most valuable player while her teammate, ArRa Larion, was declared the best spiker. Smashers' Grace Mendoca was named the best blocker while her teammate, Ana Monica, won the best setter award. Astley Tipon-Tipon of Eagle Spiker was named the tournament's best stopper.
Later, H E Nemah al Busaidi, a member of Majlis A'Shura, presented the trophies to winning team and individual awards.
