(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- SalamAir's board of directors appointed Captain Mohamed Ahmed as the chief executive officer of Oman's first budget airline, effective October 2, 2017.
Reputed for delivering operational, commercial and financial results in the aviation industry, Captain Ahmed will be leading SalamAir through its next phase of development focusing on driving efficiency, performance and customer satisfaction, SalamAir said in a press release.
An industry veteran with over 30 years of experience, Captain Ahmed joins SalamAir from Air Arabia where he occupied the post of group director of operations and maintenance and many other roles within the organisation including being an active board member in many of the joint ventures and subsidiaries.
During his tenure at Air Arabia, Captain Ahmed played a key role in the startup of the airline and most of its subsidiaries, including setting up five new AOCs across the Arab world and the Far East.
