Jordan- Temperatures to soar 8 degrees above average


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman. Sept. 11 (Petra)-- The Kingdom on Monday will remain under the impact of the heatwave that started last week, pushing temperatures 7-8 degrees above their annual average and hovering during daytime around 38 degrees Celsius in Amman, while jumping to 41 degrees in Aqaba.

According to the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD), mercury levels will cool down at night dropping to 22 degrees Celsius in Amman and sliding to 29 in Aqaba.

Temperatures will keep on soaring over the next two days, so hot and dry conditions will continue to prevail across most parts of the country with northeasterly to northwesterly light to moderate winds, the JMD added.
