Babu's photo show on Paris held at AFD


(MENAFN- Bangladesh Monitor) DHAKA : Photojournalist Fojit Sheikh Babu presented an exhibition of photographs he had taken in Paris at Alliance Francaise de Dhaka (AFD) in Dhanmondi in the city recently.

Dr Jamal Abu Sayeed of Sorbonne University, Paris read out the keynote paper at the event. Among others present at the event were architect Mubasshar Hussein; Mizanur Rahman, former chairman of National Human Rights Commission; Dr Abdul Mannan Choudhury, Vice Chancellor of World University; Professor Shamsul Wares, Dean, School of Science and Technology, State University of Bangladesh; poet and architect Rabiul Husain; Dr Farida Nilufar, Professor at BUET; Dr Akhtar Mahmud, Professor at Jahangirnagar University and Dr Niru Shamsun Nahar, deputy director of National Museum.

Fojit Sheikh Babu was born in 1980 at Rupganj of Narayanganj. He worked for a long time with the popular photo agency 'Focus Bangla News' and 'Banglar Chokh'. He is now working as a photo journalist at the daily Alokito Bangladesh.
