Reconstruction in Iraq to cost USD150bn


(MENAFN) Reconstruction in Iraq could cost almost USD150bn comprising areas damaged by the war over the last three years.

Meanwhile, World Bank has made a preliminary assessment of rebuilding costs at the request of Iraq"s Reconstruction Fund for Areas Affected by Terrorist Ops.

Accordingly, global creditors' conference will raise funds for rebuilding projects in the Arab OPEC nation would be held in Kuwait in Jan.

Furthermore, rebuilding costs in the country were projected at almost USD36bn in Jan 2016 and the estimate was revised up to USD100bn by the Iraqi Planning Ministry this year.
