Kuwait- Brussels demonstration calls for stop to Rohingya genocide
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BRUSSELS, Sept 9 (KUNA) -- Hundreds of mainly Muslim residents gathered in front of the European Parliament Saturday to condemn the international silence over the massacre and expulsion of thousands of Rohingya Muslims from their homeland in Myanmar.
"Stop the genocide in Burma (Myanmar), enough to the sufferings of the Rohingyas," shouted the demonstrators.
They also chanted,"shame to Europe, shame to the Security Council," as they condemned the regime of Aung San Suu Kyi for doing nothing to stop the killings of the Rohingyas.
The demonstration was organised by an NGO called Justice beyond borders. (end) nk.nam
