Qatar Red Crescent provides urgent aid to Rohingya refugees

Doha: Qatar Red Crescent (QRC) said Saturday that it allocated a $100,000 to provide for the basic needs of Rohingya refugees, who fled the escalating violence targeting them in Myanmar's Rakhine.

The organization noted that their aid team is continuing their field support to the victims during this humanitarian crisis.

QRC also established an information management center to keep up with the developments of the Rohingya crisis and the increasing number of refugees to Bangladesh.

A statement issued from QRC today said that their team began implementing an emergency response plane that involves operating mobile clinics in areas hosting the refugees. It also involves providing aid other than food materials.
