Kuwaiti students told to contact gov't team set up for Hurricane Irma

WASHINGTON, Sept 8 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Cultural Office in Washington called on Kuwaiti students, who were evacuated from Florida to Atlanta, Georgia, in the wake of Hurricane Irma, to keep in constant contact with a government emergency team present in the city.
The team includes staff from the Kuwaiti ministries of foreign affairs, defence and interior along with the Cultural Office, office Director Dr. Aseel Al-Awadhi told KUNA.
Students who have not yet departed the state of Florida were urged to contact the Cultural Office and notify staff on their situation.
Al-Awadhi said that five hotlines have been put in place through which students may contact the emergency team: +1 (202) 818-0666, +1 (304) 303-8335, +1 (703) 310-8316, +1 (310) 600-0366, +1 (424) 333-8001. (end) si.sd
