Rafah crossing opened for return of Hajj pilgrims to Gaza Strip


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Gaza, Sept. 8 (Petra) -- Egyptian authorities opened the Rafah border crossing with the besieged Gaza Strip on Friday to allow the crossing of Palestinians returning from the Hajj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.

The Gazan crossing authority said that 500 Palestinian pilgrims arrived in Cairo on Thursday night, and will return to Gaza through the Rafah crossing on Friday.

It added that the crossing would also be opened from Monday until Thursday next week to allow Palestinian pilgrims to return to the Gaza Strip.
