Kuwait- 'Plan to replace all expats in govt sector within five years'


(MENAFN- Arab Times) KUWAIT CITY, Sept 7: The new policy to replace the expatriates has come into effect quoting senior government sources. The sources explained as part of the new policy experienced Kuwaitis will now train the new graduates.

The sources pointed out it will take the authorities five years to fully implement this decision of gradually replacing expatriates.

However, departments where the employees are in excess will face the axe first. The sources also said all administrative jobs particularly those related to information and public relations will be reserved for Kuwaitis in all ministries, government agencies and institutions.

The sources pointed out all expatriates working in these jobs will be replaced by the Kuwaitis in ministries, government institutions and agencies.
