Australia could be financial mining center of world: CEO

(MENAFN) Based on one of the top industry's executives in Australia, he confirmed that his country is expected to become one of the largest mining financial centers in the world.

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of global mining giant Rio Tinto, Jean Sebastien Jacques said that Australia is in need to avoid protectionism and push for economic reform.

During a dinner for Minerals Week in Canberra, Jacques said: "The opportunity is there for Australia to gain ground from London and Toronto as the place the industry wants to put its dollars and its best people."

Also, he confirmed that within a decade, Australia will be the most competitively priced energy in the developed world to having nearly the most expensive.
