Consumption of oil in Kuwait falls by 1.3pct


(MENAFN) Kuwait consumption of oil fell by 1.3 percent to 499.000 barrels per day, while KSA remained the highest in GCC and ME in consumption rates.

On the other hand, global oil consumption has increased by 1.6bn barrels/day or 1.6 percent, which more than the 1.2 percent average that had been dominant for ten years.

Accordingly, China had the lion's cut of the consumption growth with 400.000 barrels a day followed by India with 330.000 barrels per day.

Furthermore, Qatar consumption rates increased 7.5 percent, which is 339.000 barrels per day in 2016, trailed by UAE by 6.7 percent.
