Tunisia reshuffles cabinet


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) TUNIS, Sept 6 (KUNA) -- Tunisian Prime Minister Youssef Chahed has announced a major cabinet shakeup involving over 10 ministers, mainly the ministers of interior and defense and finance.

Chahed said in a press statement that he had conducted the fresh cabinet reshuffle following consultations with Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi.

He added that former defense minister Abdelkrim Zbidi would return to the post in place of Farhat Horchani.

Lotfi Brahem has replaced Hedi Majdoub as Minister of Interior and Ridha Chalghoum as finance minister, the Tunisian prime minister pointed out. (end) ksj.mt
