Oman- Orpic employees visit children at Sohar Hospital


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Oman Oil Refineries and Petroleum Industries Company (Orpic) employees visited in-patients kids at Sohar Hospital to share the joy of Eid al Adha with them.

Numbers of gifts and toys were presented to those kids who were deprived of the chance to celebrate Eid with their families and friends.

Orpic organised this initiative for the fourth year in a row in accordance with one of Orpic's core values in serving Oman with pride and as part of its continuous community engagement programme.

The programme aims to communicate with community members and enhance the concept of solidarity between the company and the society, in addition to extending cooperation bridges to achieve a safe social environment.

Dr Hilal al Hinai, general manager Corporate Support Services, said, 'Our aim is to engage with community in different occasions and Eid al Adha celebration is one of the most important occasion in which children enjoy receiving gifts and playing with their friends. The in-patient kids are deprived of that chance. Therefore, Orpic organised this noble initiative to increase the sense of social responsibility among its employees who volunteer their Eid time to share it with in-patients kids and congratulating them - wishing them good health and wellness.'

He added, 'At Orpic, we look forward to underpin a solid ground of engagement with our community by participating and taking role in such occasions which also encourage others to adopt social responsibility practices achieve integration and partnership with various sectors of government and private.'
