Egypt's military exercises to be resumed in September


(MENAFN) Egyptian armed forces said their joint military exercises with US military will be resumed this month after it was suspended in 2013 following the Egyptian army crackdown on protests.

As the training is held every two years, it was canceled in 2011 after the Arab Spring was uprising that year which overthrew Hosni Mubarak.

The 'Bright Star' exercises had come after the US President Donald Trump denied Egypt's aid which worth USD95.7mln, and delayed USd195mln because of failure to progress on respecting rights and democratic norms.
