Hungary next destination for Azerbaijani goods

Budapest, the capital city of Hungary, was defined as next destination, where Azerbaijani entrepreneurs will present 'Made in Azerbaijan' brand.

The export mission of national entrepreneurs will visit Budapest on October 1-4, according to the Economy Ministry.

Entrepreneurs involved in the export mission are specialized in the production of fruits and vegetables, mineral water, fruit juices, sugar and confectionery products, wine and other alcohol products, honey and products from it, tea, hazelnuts and other industrial products.

The composition of the export mission will be formed on the basis of the competition, which will be held on September 20 in the office of AZPROMO (Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation).

Criteria on the basis of which the applicants will be selected are the following:

Production potential - 10 points, Export potential of products - 10 points, Experience in the export of products (with an indication of exports for 2016) - 5 points. The minimum passing grade is 20 points.

The trade with Hungary amounted to $ 20.12 million in January-July 2017, according to the State Customs Committee of Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijan is keen to penetrate widely in the international commodity markets with its products branded ‘Made inAzerbaijan'.

As of today, 92 trademarks of Azerbaijan are protected under the ‘Made in Azerbaijan' brand, while the country's total outputs nears 250 kinds of productsin food, light, heavy and constructionindustries. The brand is highly successful in regional and world markets, and Azerbaijan's local output meets all the necessary standards.

Since the beginning of the year Azerbaijan has already sent export missions to Qatar (in February) and Kazakhstan (in April), as well as to Germany, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Export operations to China, Dubai, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Qatar, Germany and Kazakhstan with the participation of local producers was organized in 2016.
