Kuwait views 100pct increase in remittances before Eid

(MENAFN) A growth in the rate of remittances of expatriates was viewed days before Eid Al-Adha holidays; like that the rate of increase was 100 percent.

Accordingly, the rate of payments sent in July as well as amid the first three weeks of August was less due to summer vacations unlike currently.

Moreover, the reason behind the enhanced rate of remittances is that expatriates have been sending money to their families in order to cover the expenses of sacrifice.

Meanwhile, profits of money exchange firms in the Jan-June period of this year have increased by KD1mn, achieving a total of KD7.8mn.
