GM Korea's workers union to go on partial strike


(MENAFN) General Motors Korea Co's workers announced they will start a partial strike to demand an increase in wages while the company did not offer satisfactory terms in the wage's talks for this year.

According to GM Korea union, day-shift workers in the company will carry out a four-hour strike while night-shift works will walkout for four hours also.

Union spokesman Dang Sung-geun said: "The planned strikes are a normal part of wage negotiations."

Earlier, the S. Korea GM union had held around 18 rounds of wages talks without reaching any agreement yet.
