Jordan- Hot weather expected across kingdom


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Sept. 3 (Petra) -- A rise in temperatures is expected today and tomorrow, sending mercury level up to 5 degrees above seasonal average, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

The weather will be dry and hot in hilly areas and other parts of the Kingdom, and clouds will appear at high altitude, the JMD said. Winds will be northwesterly moderate.

Temperatures will drop slightly on Tuesday, but the weather will remain hot across the country, the JMD noted.

Temperatures for the coming three days will reach a high of 36 degrees Celsius in Amman, dropping to 22 at night. In northern areas, they will range between a high of 36 and a low of 23. In Aqaba, maximum temperature will hit 41 degrees Celsius, dropping to 29 at night.
