Kuwait condemns Samarra terrorist bombing


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sept 2 (KUNA) -- Kuwait on Saturday strongly condemned the terrorist bombing that targeted a power station in the Iraqi city of Samarra, killing and injuring several people.

In a press statement, a senior Foreign Ministry source reaffirmed Kuwait's full support to all measures taken by Iraqi government to maintain the country's security and stability. The source emphasized Kuwait's rejection of terrorism and all its forms and manifestations. The source also expressed condolences for the Iraqi government and people, and wished speedy recovery for the injured.

At least six people were killed and seven others were injured in the suicide bombing attack on Samarra power station early today. (end) mmj.ibi
