(MENAFN- Gulf Times) His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani yesterday exchanged during telephone conversations greetings with a number of leaders of Arab and Muslim countries on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
The Emir exchanged greetings with Kuwait's Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, King Mohamed VI of Morocco, Palestine President Mahmoud Abbas, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani and with Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi.
The Emir also exchanged greetings with Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah.
The Emir also received similar cables of greetings from a number of leaders of friendly countries.
The Emir also received a cable of congratulations from the Speaker of the Advisory Council HE Mohamed bin Mubarak al-Khulaifi.
Al-Khulaifi expressed in his name and on behalf of the Advisory Council members heartfelt greetings and blessings on the advent of Eid al-Adha, affirming full support for the Emir and his wise leadership, expressing pride in his policies and wise management of the Gulf crisis and the unjust siege of Qatar, and his supreme directives and the awareness of the loyal people, which earned the solidarity and appreciation of the countries around the world and disappointed the siege countries.
The Speaker expressed the Advisory Council's appreciation of the substantial efforts and sincere endeavours of the Emir towards the security and stability of the homeland. He wished the Emir the best of health, success and blessing.
The Emir replied with a cable to the Speaker in which he extended his sincere thanks for the greetings and the kind sentiments, and expressed his greetings and sentiments to them and hoping for a happy return of such an occasion to all of them.
The Emir also wished the Advisory Council Speaker and the members best of health and well-being and wished more welfare, progress and prosperity to the people of Qatar.
Also yesterday, His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani exchanged cables of greetings with deputy leaders of Arab and Muslim countries on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also exchanged cables of greetings with prime ministers of Arab and Muslim countries.
