Jordan- Government hikes fuel prices


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug. 31 (Petra) -- The government increased the prices of oil derivatives, but kept unchanged the price of a cooking gas cylinder, according to a decision announced by the government's pricing committee under the monthly review of fuel prices.

The committee set the price of unleaded 90-octane gasoline at JD0.680 per litre for September, while unleaded 95-octane gasoline will be sold at JD0.895 per litre. Diesel and kerosene were priced at JD0.495 per litre.

The price of a cooking gas cylinder was fixed at JD7, according to the amendment, which will be effective tomorrow, September 1.
