Jordan- Normal summer conditions expected during Eid holiday


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Amman, Aug. 31 (Petra) -- Normal summer weather is expected in Amman and hilly areas, while it will be relatively hot in the Jordan valley and the Dead Sea, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said in its daily update.

Pleasant conditions are expected to prevail across the kingdom over the night, the JMD added. Winds will be northwesterly moderate.

Similar conditions are expected to continue on Friday, the first day of Eid Al-Adha, before the mercury level starts to rise on Saturday and Sunday. However, normal conditions will continue in most parts of the Kingdom, while the weather will be relatively hot in Badia, the Jordan valley and the Gulf of Aqaba, the JMD noted.

Temperatures for the coming three days will reach a high of 31 degrees Celsius in Amman, dropping to 17 at night. In northern areas, they will range between a high of 30 and a low of 16, in central regions temperatures will hit a high of 28 and a low of 18. In Aqaba, maximum temperature will hit 36 degrees Celsius, dropping to 26 at night.
