Two climbers called police for help late on Wednesday night after getting trapped on the top of Lion Rock in Kowloon.
The two Caucasian men, aged 28 and 29, alerted police at 10pm that they were stuck on top of the 495-meter-high peak between Kowloon Tong and Tai Wai in the New Territories, saying they'd got stuck while trying to climb the mountain, Oriental Daily reported.

The two men used to signal their location when firefighters from the high-angle rescue team went up to the mountain in dark.
The two men were rescued at around 4am on Thursday. The pair, who were not injured, walked downhill accompanied by the rescuers. Embarrassed perhaps by what had happened, covered their heads and faces with blankets when they encountered media, Headline Daily reported.
Both men refused to be sent to hospital.
The drama occurred just days after 150 firefighters had to rescue a man and a woman from mainland China who got stuck after hiking up Kowloon Peak on Saturday, apparently without realizing a typhoon was forecast.
