UAE- Sharjah Ruler pardons 117 prisoners on occasion of Eid Al Adha


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) His Highness Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, member of Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, has issued orders to pardon 117 prisoners of various nationalities in Sharjah Punitive and Reformatory Establishments (SPRE) (Central Jail) on occasion of Eid Al Adha.

The pardon has been granted to prisoners who showed good conduct. Jail inmates in financial debts were also pardoned, as well as those who committed various crimes - except murder and drug trafficking.

The initiative comes as part of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah's concern to ensure family stability as well as to bring joy and hope to the prisoners and their families during the festive occasion.

Brigadier Saif Al Zari, commander-in-chief of Sharjah Police, extended his thanks and appreciation to His Highness for his generous gesture which was aimed at supporting the reunion of family, and enabling its head to be among his children during the blessed days.
