Hurricane Harvey leaves USD42bn destruction in Houston


(MENAFN) A data modelling revealed that ruins released by Hurricane Harvey are estimated to be considered amid the top five most costly US storms in the country.

Moreover, Chuck Watson, founder of the disaster modelling firm Enki Research said forecasts for overall economic costs and damages increased to hit USD42bn compared with USD30bn, saying that the storm is now moving to Louisiana.

"If Harvey were your normal hurricane it would be probably a $4bn event," Watson further said.
