Google to provide new augmented reality apps


(MENAFN) Alphabet Inc's Google released tools it will provide to make augmented reality apps for mobile devices using the Android operating system.

In the augmented reality (AR), digital objects are applied to onto the real world on screen, and it got huge boost from the popularity of the Pokemon Go Game, which was released in US last year.

Google announced in a blog that it will first be available on the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Google"s own Pixel phone, and it hoped to make the system called ARCore.

On the other hand, Apple announced earlier in June that it will release a system called ARKit which will be released this fall for hundreds of devices.
