Hyundai Motor four plants in China to resume operations


(MENAFN) The S. Korean automaker, Hyundai Motor Co. announced its four plants in China had resumed operations after suspension for one week due to parts supply problems.

Earlier, Beijing Hyundai Motor Co, a joint venture between Hyundai Motor and BAIC Motor Corp. stopped operations in assembly lines at its four plants because of lack of a key component.

Also, a local supplier stopped delivering plastic fuel tanks to Beijing Hyundai after it did not receive USD17mln from Hyundai.

According to the company's spokesman, he said: "The plants have resumed operations today as the Chinese supplier began shipping the component. The company (Beijing Hyundai) is in talks with the Chinese partner to resolve the payment issue."
